Эпопея с поиском средств канадской биржи QuadrigaCX продолжается. Вчера вдова основателя и главы компании Джеральда Коттена Дженнифер Робертсон сделала несколько сенсационных заявлений. Оказывается, семья покойного бизнесмена также может оказаться в числе пострадавших от пропажи ключей доступа к средствам компании. По утверждению Робертсон, ее муж для обеспечения жизнедеятельности QuadrigaCX использовал свои личные средства.
Основатель QuadrigaCX был вынужден оказать помощь своей компании для финансирования вывода средств пользователей в 2018 году, когда у QuadrigaCX возникли трения с Канадским имперским банком(CIBC), в результате чего счета компании на сумму 21,6 млн долларов были временно заморожены.
Коттен не рассказывал своей жене о точных деталях ведения бизнеса, однако он сообщил Робертсон, что осуществлял финансовую помощь своей компании для выплаты средств клиентам, счета которых были размещены в CIBC.
Также Робертсон сообщила, что назначенный судом аудитор биржи Ernst & Young (EY) установил наличие конфликта интересов у юридической компании Стюарта МакКелви, представляющей в данный момент интересы QuadrigaCX. Юристы сообщили Робертсон, что больше не смогут представлять интересы биржи.
Напомним, Ernst & Young обнаружили, что криптовалютные кошельки, ключи от которых утеряны после смерти главы биржи, вероятнее всего были пустыми еще с апреля 2018 года.
