Во время осеннего ралли BTC именно крупные инвесторы из числа институционалов и индивидуальных китов извлекли прибыль, покупая преимущественно на откатах и продавая на локальных максимумах. Такой результат исследований криптовалютной биржи OKEx.
Если киты покупали во время падения, то розничные инвесторы по большей части закупают криптовалюту во время роста ее стоимости.
Аналитики взяли период с 1 августа по 30 ноября 2020 года, проанализировав данные пары BTC/USDT.
Все транзакции поделили на категории:
- до 0,5 BTC (розничные инвесторы),
- 0,5 BTC – 2 BTC (профессиональные трейдеры)
- 5 BTC – 10 BTC
- более 10 BTC (крупные трейдеры, киты и институционалы).
В таблице за октябрь и ноябрь розничные инвесторы продолжали покупки, хоть и наблюдался рост цен.
Например, крупные трейдеры брали наиболее значимые позиции при ценах около $10 000, фиксируя прибыль в период активного роста.
Очень отличалось поведение инвесторов во время падения рынка 26 ноября. Инвесторы с небольшими объемами поддались панике и продававали актив. А киты, напротив, воспользовались моментом для новых покупок.
«По данным таблиц видно, что все, кроме большинства розничных трейдеров, зафиксировали прибыль, когда 30 ноября BTC достиг нового исторического максимума», — сказано в отчете.
А, к примеру, в исследованиях Chainalysis указано, что с начала года число кошельков с балансом более 1000 BTC.
