В настоящее время BNY Mellon становится уже 28 банком, вошедшим в консорциум Marco Polo. Ранее в организацию, обеспечивающую контроль транзакций в режиме реального времени вступили такие известные финансовые структуры как Bank of America, Commerzbank, Standard Chartered Bank, BNP Paribas, Danske Bank и другие.
По заявлению Джун Ким главы отдела торгового финансирования в BNY Mellon, основной целью банка является привлечение новых клиентов, путем предоставления более оперативного обслуживания. В настоящее время в банке BNY Mellon обслуживается свыше 1400 корпоративных клиентов.
Торговое финансирование обеспечивает компании быстрым доступом к мировым финансам без необходимости создавать новое подразделение, а используя ресурсы банка. BNY Mellon выбрал Marco Polo, потому что блокчейн хорошо работает для финансирования открытых счетов, составляющих около 85% торгового финансирования, и идеально подходит для крупных корпораций.
