Японская финансовая группа Mitsubishi UFJ (MUFG) начнет испытание собственной цифровой валюты уже в следующем году. В эксперименте, связанном с тестированием виртуальной валюты MUFG, будут задействованы свыше 100 тысяч клиентов банка. Во время испытательного периода участникам будет разрешено конвертировать свои банковские депозиты в MUFG Coins через приложение мобильного кошелька. Монета MUFG будет эквивалентна одной японской йене (JPY).
Монета MUFG может использоваться для оплаты счетов за товары и услуги в ресторанах, магазинах, а также в других магазинах, которые принимают эту цифровую валюту. Кроме того клиенты смогут переводить цифровую монету MUFG на счета других участников тестового проекта. Японский банк также планирует интегрировать в испытательную программу некоторые компании, планирующие предоставлять услуги, оплачиваемые криптовалютой.
Токийская банковская группа MUFG управляет совокупными активами в размере 2,8 триллиона долларов США по состоянию на 31 декабря 2017 года. Компания имеет более чем 2300 подразделений в более чем 50-ти странах.
