Холдинг Bitcoin Group SE, работающий в Германии, приобрел 100% долю в инвестиционном банке Tremmel Wertpapierhandelsbank GmbH, сообщает Cointelegraph. В настоящее время компания Bitcoin Group SE расположена в Херфорде (Северная Рейн-Вестфалия) и является владельцем Bitcoin Deutschland AG — единственной в стране регулируемой криптовалютной биржи.
После приобретения банковского учреждения, которое специализируется на торговле ценными бумагами, криптовалютный холдинг получит право на использование банковской лицензии Tremmel. Согласно пресс-релизу Bitcoin Group SE, лицензия «значительно расширит» возможности предложения цифровых активов и позволит устанавливать в Германии банкоматы для покупки криптовалюты.
«Bitcoin Group SE получает возможность выпускать собственные криптовалютные продукты, осуществлять частную торговлю цифровыми валютами, а также работать с банкоматами для виртуальных валют. Такую возможность мы получили став обладателями банковской лицензии для работы с ценными бумагами», — говорится в заявлении компании.
Сделка будет завершена в первой половине 2019 года после получения разрешений от регуляторов Германии. Глава банка Tremmel Райнер Бергманн продолжит работу на своем месте.
Напомним, с мая 2018 года криптовалютная биржа Coinbase стремится получить банковскую лицензию в США.
