Криптовалютный брокер Bitcoin Suisse, являющийся лидером швейцарской «Крипто долины» предпринял упреждающие меры, чтобы соответствовать будущей «более зрелой» нормативной среде для цифровых активов.
Компания подала заявку на получение банковской лицензии в Швейцарский орган по надзору за финансовыми рынками (FINMA), а также на получение лицензии дилера ценных бумаг, предусмотренной Законом о биржах и торговле ценными бумагами (SESTA). Ранее финансовые органы Федерального совета Швейцарии отмечали, что технология блокчейн будет регулироваться существующими схемами регулирования.
Представитель компании Bitcoin Suisse заявил:
«В долгосрочной перспективе регулирование в отрасли будет развиваться, и законодательство догонит технологические разработки в криптовалютной индустрии. В этой новой нормативно-правовой среде компании, не получившие необходимых лицензий, будут иметь ограниченные возможности для обслуживания клиентов с полным спектром высококачественных, инновационных крипто-финансовых продуктов и решений».
Руководство компании считает, что «упреждающие лицензии» расширят количество регулируемых услуг и продуктов, которые она может предложить, поскольку «все больше криптоактивов и услуг подпадают под действие законодательства о ценных бумагах и банковской деятельности».
В настоящее время представитель компании отказался комментировать конкретные активы. Однако он отметил, что лицензия дилера по ценным бумагам позволила бы торговать криптовалютными токенами, которые финансовый регулятор классифицировал как ценные бумаги. Предположительно это будет собственная стабильная монета – швейцарский криптофранк.
Напомним, в скандальных твиттах президента Трампа, где он критикует биткоин и Facebook Libra, политик отметил, что в случае выхода социальной сети на финансовый рынок необходимо получить все необходимые для работы банковские лицензии.
