Родительская компания биржи Bitfinex и эмитента стейблкоина Tether, iFinex Inc., апеллирует на коллективный иск против себя. В компании заявляют, что это безосновательное оскорбление корпорации и ее клиентов.

Напомним, что в октябре 2019 года был подан коллективный иск на $1,4 трлн из-за создания токенов USDT без наличия реального долларового обеспечения. Истцы заявляют, что это повлияло на рост цены Bitcoin до исторического максимума в 2017 году.
В список нарушений включены Закон США о товарных биржах, Закон об инвестировании полученных от рэкета капиталов, отмывание денег, схемы Pump & Dump, манипуляции на рынке за счет эмиссии USDT и преднамеренный обман инвесторов.
3 июня истцы обновили свой иск, добавив обвинения в сторону Bittrex и Poloniex. По их мнению, эти биржи были соучастниками схемы, создавая иллюзию ликвидности рынка через множество ордеров на покупку BTC.
Главный юрист биржи Bitfinex комментирует эту ситуацию:
«Истцы игнорируют фактическое финансовое обеспечение Tether, операционную деятельность Bitfinex, общие принципы спроса и предложения, а также публично доступные исследования, подтверждающие отсутствие манипуляций. Если вы видите группу людей, раскрывающих зонты, это еще не означает, что идет дождь», — заявил Хогнер.
Напомним, что в марте Tether обьявила о запуске стейблкоина.
