31 августа одна из крупнейших криптобирж сообщила о том, что торги будут временно приостановлены из-за технических проблем.
Представители Bitfinex утверждают, что возникли трудности во время подключения к одному из серверов. Поэтому и пришлось приостановить операции. Вскоре стали известны подробности.
Хостинг-провайдер перезагрузил главный сервер, на котором находится матчинговый движок биржи, не уведомив об этом руководство Bitfinex. Для возобновления её нормальной работы необходимо минимум полчаса.
Представители биржи утверждают, что простой в работе продолжался около часа. Средствам пользователей ничего не угрожает. Биржа уже полностью контролирует ситуацию. Все транзакции зафиксированы и будут выполнены в порядке очереди.
Технический сбой может быть неслучайным
По времени он совпал с датой экспирации фьючерсов по биткоину на бирже СМЕ. Пользователь Твиттер с ником DiversifyCrypto предположил, что хостинг-провайдер может быть как-то с ней связан.
