Криптовалютная биржа Bitstamp была приобретена инвестиционной фирмой NXMH, расположенной в Бельгии и принадлежащей южнокорейскому конгломерату NXC, сообщает CoinDesk. Контрольный пакет акций биржи переходит в собственность NXC, однако исполнительный директор Bitstamp Недж Кодрич (Nejc Kodrič) сохранит небольшой пакет акций и продолжит работу на бирже. Условия сделки и цена продажи контрольного пакета не разглашаются.
Инвестор Bitstamp компания Pantera Capital также сохраняет 6%-й пакет акций биржи. Головная компания NXMH фирма NXC владеет южнокорейской криптовалютной биржей Korbit, а также Nexon, создателем популярных игр для настольных и мобильных платформ.
Первые упоминания о возможной продаже Bitstamp конгломерату NXC появились еще в конце апреля 2018 года. Недж Кодрич заявил, что условия работы для клиентов биржи в первое время меняться не будут. По его словам, NXMH согласна с перспективными планами Bitstamp:
«Они [NXMH] заверили, что работа продолжится в соответствии с ранее разработанными планами. Они понимают отрасль».
Совместная работа NXMH и Bitstamp будет направлена на преодоление разрыва между традиционной финансовой отраслью и криптовалютной индустрией.
