Министерство образования Малайзии использует технологию блокчейн для борьбы с мошенничеством с целью повышения репутации университетов в стране Юго-Восточной Азии, сообщает CNN. Система выдачи и проверки университетских дипломов будет тестироваться на блокчейн сети NEM.
Система электронного контроля направлена на борьбу с растущим количеством случаев использования фальшивых дипломов в Малайзии, где в настоящее время появились целые интернет-фабрики по изготовлению поддельных документов.
«Осознавая необходимость защиты репутации и чести университетов Малайзии, Министерство образования приняло решительные меры для предотвращения такого мошенничества. Поддельные дипломы, помимо обмана, ущемляют права студентов, действительно прошедших обучение», — говорится в заявлении Министерства образования Малайзии.
На первом этапе внедрения системы электронного контроля все сертификаты степени доктора PhD, которые будут выпущены в этом месяце Международным исламским университетом в Малайзии, будут занесены в блокчейн сеть.
Напомним, в августе Украина приступила к тестированию голосования с использованием блокчейн платформы NEM.
