Верховный суд Греции (Ареопаг) принял решение об экстрадиции россиянина Александра Винника, возглавлявшего биткоин-биржу BTC-e, по подозрению в отмывании денег.
Решение суда положило конец юридическому «перетягиванию каната», поскольку запросы на экстрадицию Винника подали также Россия и США.
Россиянин находился под стражей с июля 2017, когда его арестовали на греческом курорте Халкидики.
В октябре 2017 года суд удовлетворил ходатайство об экстрадиции Винника в Россию, а ранее – в Соединенные Штаты.
Однако сегодня Ареопаг передумал, и решил, что россиянин должен отправиться во Францию. Как сообщил источник, знакомый с обстоятельствами дела, Париж предъявил Европейский ордер на арест, предусматривающий прямую процедуру.
Как говорится во французском ордере, Винник обманул более сотни людей в шести городах Франции в период 2016-2018 годов.
