Команда Canaan заявляет, что именно эта сфера бизнеса помогает более эффективно использовать электроэнергию и способствует занятости и региональным экономикам.
Во время телеконференции, посвященной финансовым показателям, CEO Canaan Наньгэн Чжан сказал, что майнинг криптовалют с использованием ископаемого топлива препятствует усилиям властей в области экологии, но те, кто использует чистую энергию, не должны подвергаться репрессиям.
«Майнинговые предприятия выбирают регионы с низкими ценами на электроэнергию, что указывает на переизбыток предложения и вероятные потери», — добавил он.
По его словам, майнеры биткоина «помогают создавать рабочие места в бедных районах и вносят вклад в бюджет».
Все эти высказывания направлены в сторону властей, которые на государственном уровне ограничивают майнинг в стране.
Напомним, за первый квартал 2021 года доля продаж Canaan за пределы Китая превысила 78%:
