Ходатайство направлено в соответствии с Главой 11 Кодекса США о банкротстве. В компании надеются, что реструктуризация позволит «максимизировать ценность для всех заинтересованных сторон».
«Направленное ходатайство — результат трудного, но необходимого решением Celsius в прошлом месяце приостановить снятие средств, обмен и переводы на платформе, чтобы стабилизировать свой бизнес и защитить клиентов», — прокомментировали в компании.
Также компания Celsius сообщила, что имеет $167 млн наличными для обеспечения ликвидности и поддержки определенных операций в процессе реструктуризации.
Сейчас большая часть операций на платформе приостанавливается, но компания продолжит работу.
Напомним, что 13 июля Celsius внесла оплату по последнему крупному заему в DeFi-протоколе Compound и вывела чуть менее $200 млн в WBTC, а накануне — заем в протоколе Aave, освободив залог в более чем 400 000 stETH.
Сейчас стоимость токена CEL упала на 16%, согласно CoinGecko.
