Со времен активации протокола Segregated Witness (SegWit) в 2017 году — это крупнейший апгрейд сети биткоина. Все дело в том, что Taproot имеет сразу несколько ключевых технических улучшений, основным из которых является имплементация схемы подписей Шнорра и концепции MAST.
Напомним, что обновление Taproot спроектировал сооснователь Blockstream Грэгори Максвелл еще в 2018 году. К созданию также подключились Питер Велле, Тим Раффинг, Джонсон Лау и другие разработчики.
В 2021 году, активацию Taproot поддержали 98% майнеров, что говорит о его значимости для сообщества. А в сентябре вышла новая версия популярного клиента Bitcoin Core (v 22.0), в которой была реализована поддержка обновления.
Влияние софтфорка на котировки первой криптовалюты оказалось минимальным. Актив торгуется вблизи $64 800, за сутки его цена выросла на 1,6%.
Напомним, несмотря на значимость Taproot, не все участники сообщества считают, что апдейт принесет биткоину пользу.
