В интервью Bloomberg президент и операционный директор биржи Асиф Хирджи сообщил, что во время раунда финансирования Е компанией заинтересовался ряд «высокопрофильных инвесторов». Они хотят вложить средства в лучших представителей сообщества.
Хирджи утверждает, что последний раунд не был обязательным. При этом поддержка таких инвесторов, как Andreesen Horowitz и Tiger Management, поможет возглавляемой им компании выйти на новый уровень.
Они хотят работать с тем, кто гарантирует развитие и сможет изменить индустрию. Сотрудничество с Coinbase позволит инвесторам выйти на новый уровень доходности и прогнозируемости.
Проведение IPO – один из последних приоритетов
Хирджи сообщил, что сейчас компания сосредоточена на обеспечении финансовой устойчивости и диверсификации источников дохода. Сейчас Coinbase получает основную прибыль от проведения транзакций, однако скоро всё изменится.
Привлечённые средства планируется потратить на:
- привлечение финансовых учреждений к криптовалютам путём добавления активов и функций в кастодиальный сервис;
- формирование инфраструктуры между фиатом и цифровыми деньгами;
- расширение количества поддерживаемых активов.
