Криптовалютная биржа Coinbase разослала уведомление своим британским пользователям, что с 26 августа 2019 года на платформе будут прекращены операции связанные с торговлей криптовалютой Zcash (ZEC).
Клиенты торговой платформы Coinbase, проживающие в Великобритании могут либо отправить свои запасы Zcash на другие биржи, либо конвертировать ее в другие криптовалюты. По истечении срока установленного биржей, все оставшиеся токены Zcash будут автоматически переведены в фунты стерлингов.

Внезапное объявление о делистинге криптовалюты Zcash ориентированной на конфиденциальность застало врасплох пользователей биржи, которым предоставляется очень короткий срок для принятия решения.
Одной из предполагаемых причин принятия такого решения, по мнению экспертов, может стать объявление британских властей о предоставлении криптовалютными биржами информации о пользовательской базе и истории прошлых транзакций.
Полная поддержка криптовалюты Zcash была введена Coinbase в ноябре — декабре прошлого года по стандартной процедуре: сначала на Coinbase Pro для профессиональных трейдеров, а затем, через неделю, и на всех остальных платформах биржи. Позже в феврале Coinbase включил Zcash в образовательную программу, позволяющую после получения информации о конфиденциальности блокчейн, зарабатывать токены ZEC.
На официальных ресурсах Coinbase пока нет объявления и комментариев о делистинге Zcash.
