Сингапурская криптоплатформа Digifinex, занимающая 13 позицию в рейтинге CoinMarketCap по объему торгов за сутки, заявила о запланированном делистинге Tether (USDT) и его замене на TrueUSD (TUSD) от платформы для токенизации активов TrustToken.
«Я просто не верю в Tether, но выбора у меня не было. Я уже несколько месяцев пытаюсь найти альтернативу и наконец избавится от USDT», — высказалась сооснователь Digifinex Киана Шек.
Также она заметила, что компания TrustToken известна по использованию наиболее эффективных кейсов в криптосфере. А работа платформы абсолютно соответствует нормам Сети по борьбе с финансовыми преступлениями (FinCEN).
По данным на 16 сентября, порядка 56% ежедневного объема торгов обеспечивают торговые пары ETH/USDT и BTC/USDT.
Tether обвиняли в манипуляциях
Напомним, что в июне Tether подверглась критике после того, как в новом исследовании ее обвинили в манипуляции ценой биткоина в 2017 году.
Доклад написан Джоном М. Гриффином (John M. Griffin) и Амином Шэмсом (Amin Shams) из Университета Техаса. Авторы считают, что модели транзакций показывают, что Tether «использовалась для ценовой поддержки и манипуляций ценами на криптовалюты».
Цена биткоина поднялась в декабре 2017-го, достигнув максимума в $20,000. И этот скачок был явно спровоцирован Tether и ее эмитентом Bitfinex, утверждают исследователи.
«Используя алгоритмы для анализа данных блокчейна, мы обнаружили, что покупки Tether следовали за снижением рынка. В результате цена биткоина существенно повышалась, – говорится в докладе. – На менее 1% времени с массированными Tether-транзакциями приходится 50% стремительного роста биткоина и 64% других криптовалют».
