Тесты проводились в лабораторных условиях в течение двух месяцев. Специалисты Whiteblock управляли репликой EOS.
Транзакции не подтверждены криптографически
Они утверждают, что платформа является не блокчейн-проектом, а «облачным сервисом».
У EOS нет фундаментальных особенностей, характерных для одноранговых сетей и распределённого реестра. Специалисты Whiteblock пришли к выводу, что нет способа исключить мошеннический сговор производителей блоков EOS. Они без проблем могут получить полный контроль над сетью.
Исследование показало, что объем транзакций, которые способен обрабатывать EOS, на самом деле ниже, чем заявлено. В тестах Whiteblock с оптимальными настройками скорость транзакций не превышала 250 в секунду. Выяснилось, что максимальная пропускная способность EOS составляет около 4000 TPS.
ConsenSys собирается учесть результаты исследований во время составления отчётов для Ledger Capital, Microsoft и Google. Ведущие исследовательские центры США (MTI и Университет Южной Калифорнии) пообещали предоставить ресурсы для проведения дополнительных исследований. Whiteblock заявила, что проведёт в ноябре контрольные тесты EOS .
