Отправителем дорогой транзакция в сети Ethereum был адрес, связанный с пулом MiningPoolHub.
В своем блоге работники F2Pool сообщили, что на следующие сутки отправитель, чье имя не открыли, связался с компанией и объяснил, что стал жертвой хакерской атаки. Злоумышленники перевели с его кошелька 5 531 ETH. Пострадавший попросил F2Pool компенсировать средства, чтобы отчасти восполнить потери.
«Исходя из убеждений гуманизма, компания F2Pool приняла решение вернуть комиссию. Чтобы деньги не досталась хакеру, мы осуществили перевод на новый адрес, предоставленный отправителем после полной верификации», — написала компания.

Чтобы отблагодарить компанию, отправитель оставил майнерам 10% выплаченной комиссии (231 ETH). В F2Pool сообщили, что направят эти средства на компенсацию комиссий за добычу в пуле с 20 по 26 июня включительно.
Компания F2Pool уже представила подтверждение перевода 2 079 ETH на новый адрес отправителя в блокчейне.
Напомним, что аналитики PeckShield озвучили мнение, о дорогих транзакциях в сети Ethereum, в ходе которых пользователь заплатил комиссии на сумму $5,2 млн, по мнению экспертов, они могли быть вымогательством.
