Австралийская комиссия по ценным бумагам и инвестициям (ASIC) вынуждает некоторых эмитентов ICO изменить или приостановить проекты после тщательного изучения их маркетинговой политики.
«ASIC направил предупреждение эмитентам ICO и их партнерам, в котором указано на недопустимость предоставления информации, вводящей инвесторов в заблуждение. В результате наших запросов некоторые эмитенты остановили свой ICO или указали, что структура проекта будет изменена», — пояснил регулятор в официальном заявлении, распространенном 1 мая 2018 года.
Кроме того ASIC подтвердила, что отправила запросы эмитентам, подозреваемым в «потенциально нелицензированном поведении». Ранее комиссия по ценным бумагам и инвестициям получила полномочия от Австралийской комиссии по конкуренции и потребительской деятельности (ACCC) для принятия мер в соответствии с законом о защите потребителей в сфере, касающейся криптовалютных активов. Регулятор также акцентировал внимание основателей ICO на недопустимость введения в заблуждение инвесторов относительно продукта проекта.
