В обновлённый рейтинг Fintech 250 вошли не менее 15 компаний, связанные с технологией блокчейн и криптовалютой. В списке значатся такие фирмы, как Brave Software, BitGo, Coinbase, Robinhood, Xapo, Xapp, Coins.ph, Polychain Capital, Revolut, BitPesa, Ripple labs и BitFlyer.
Данные CB Insights показывают, что 2018 Fintech 250 привлек почти 53 миллиарда долларов в виде финансирования за последние пять лет. В списке — 30 крупнейших компании, достигших капитализации в 1 миллиард долларов, — это Robinhood, платформа для мобильных инвестиций, основанная в США, стоимостью 5,6 млрд доллара США, и Coinbase, оцениваемая в 1,6 млрд доллара США. Robinhood также признана самой крупной в 2018 году компанией в области розничных инвестиций и вторичных рынков.
Список Fintech 250 формируется из компаний, вносящих наибольший вклад в преобразование финансовой отрасли с использованием инновационных технологий. Список выбран из 4000 компаний с использованием нескольких специальных критериев, в том числе на запатентованном алгоритме CB Insights, Mosaic Score, который измеряет общий потенциал состояния и роста конкретной компании.
