В объявленных в четверг изменениях в методологии разработки тестирования стрессовых для финансов ситуаций Совет управляющих ФРС отметил, что крах рынка биткоинов рассматривается как один из «существенных» рыночных рисков.
Стресс-тесты проводятся в соответствии с требованиями Закона о реформировании Уолл-стрит Додда-Франка. При этом в ФРС отмечают, что тестирование постоянно дополняется и «динамично» развивается путем включения новых рисков.
Рекомендации о внесении краха рынка биткоина в число существенных рисков поступило от одного из комментаторов, которые вносят свои предложения согласно просьбе ФРС от 15 декабря 2017 года.
Во вчерашнем документе ФРС указывает, что комментатор предложил, чтобы «крах биткоина» рассматривался как один из нескольких «чрезвычайных потрясений», таких как война с Северной Кореей и крупные потери, вызванные неправомерным поведением трейдера. Поправки в политику создания сценариев финансовых ситуаций вступают в силу с 1 апреля.
