Проверка проводилась совместно с представителем аудиторской «Большой четверки» компанией Deloitte & Touche LLP (Deloitte). Успешное прохождение процедуры «…делает Gemini первой в мире криптовалютной биржей и хранителем цифровых активов, продемонстрировавшим высокий уровень соответствия безопасности при защите данных и средств клиентов».
Организация, которая проходит аудит Service Organizational Control (SOC) 2 может обеспечить соответствие критериям обслуживания, установленным Американским институтом сертифицированных общественных бухгалтеров (AICPA). Эти критерии относятся к стандартам конфиденциальности, безопасности, целостности обработки личных данных и защите доступа к ним.
По заявлению компании Gemini, в 2019 году планируется провести дополнительное тестирование SOC 2 Type 2 на соответствие еще более высоким стандартам безопасности. По мнению аналитиков издания Forbes, новый уровень доверия в сфере цифровых активов может существенно повысить шансы Gemini на получение разрешения SEC на работу с биткоин ETF.
Напомним, холдинг Fidelity планирует осуществить запуск кастодиальной платформы для биткоина уже в марте 2019 года.
