Индийский филиал британского банка HSBC и ING Bank Brussels осуществили первую торговую финансовую транзакцию на основе блокчейн-технологии.
Блокчейн позволил упростить аккредитив-транзакцию между компаниями Reliance Industries и Tricon Energy. ING Bank выдал аккредитив Tricon Energy, а HSBC India являлся банком-трассантом для Reliance Industries. Сквозная транзакция была осуществлена на блокчейн-платформе Corda компании R3.
Сейчас физические копии аккредитивов отправляются каждой стороне транзакции по почте, курьером или по факсу.
«Эта транзакция подтвердила коммерческую и операционную ценность блокчейн-технологии как альтернативы традиционному обмену бумажной документацией», – говорится в сообщении HSBC India.
R3, HSBC, ING и шесть других банков – Bangkok Bank, BNP Paribas, CTBC Holding, NatWest, SEB and Standard Chartered – поддерживают приложение Corda и планируют расширить сеть, чтобы ускорить применение технологии в банковской сфере.
