Блокчейн эфириум – основа ICO
Согласно аналитическому отчету Autonomous, блокчейн проекты на основе сети эфириум инициировали рост цен на криптовалюту ETH в 2017 году. Однако в этом году они же предположительно являются основной причиной резкого снижения стоимости эфириума. Многие проекты, обеспокоенные длительным медвежьим рынком попросту распродают свои активы, номинированные в ETH.
В анализе Autonomous указывается, что законодательные и регулирующие органы многих стран мира продолжают выражать обеспокоенность в отношении метода сбора средств, основанного на ICO. На прошлой неделе члены Европейского парламента вместе с экспертами по блокчейн обсудили возможные правила для ICO. Один из участников обсуждения указал на «резкое увеличение объемов» ICO в 2018 году, несмотря на растущее число сообщений о мошеннических проектах.
Основные проблемы с точки зрения законодателей
Председатель Целевой группы Европейской комиссии по Финтех Питер Керстенс (Peter Kerstens) отметил, что отсутствие третьей стороны между инвесторами и эмитентами ICO представляет основную проблему для регуляторов.
Бельгийский аналитический центр Брейгеля призвал создать унифицированное законодательство для криптовалют и ICO, а также проанализировать распространение токенов среди инвесторов. По мнению аналитиков, виртуальный характер финансирования ограничивает возможности для законодателей. Этот факт может привести к введению жестких регуляторных мер, вплоть до полного запрета ICO.
