Инвестирование в биткоин – не для слабаков, но каждые два года держатели крупнейшей криптовалюты вознаграждаются, заявил в интервью CNBC Лу Кернер (Lou Kerner), партнер в компании CryptoOracle.
Кернер, чья венчурная фирма поддерживает так называемую «децентрализованную цифровую экономику», видит большие инвестиционные горизонты.
«Если вспомнить интернет-пузырь, то Amazon, одна из крупнейших в истории компаний, в течение двух лет потеряла 95% своей стоимости», – заявил Лу в программе “Worldwide Exchange”.
Однако, по мнению Кернера, такая волатильность – ничто по сравнению с тем, что переживают долговременные биткоин-инвесторы.
«В 2013 году был день, когда курс упал на 70% за ночь. Такое никому не нравится, но это – инвестиции в криптовалюту, они такие, – отметил он. – Криптовалюты были слабыми, потому что их основой было только доверие. Но биткоин, как мы думаем, заменит золото. А это $8 триллионов. Я думаю, биткоин – это средство накопления, величайшее в истории».
Как мы уже сообщали, объем коммерческих платежей, осуществляемых при помощи биткоина, значительно снизился в 2018 году, сообщает Reuters со ссылкой на исследования Chainalysis. В ходе анализа были опрошены 17 платежных компаний, работающих с биткоином. В результате аналитики выяснили, что общий объем обработанных транзакций BTC с начала 2019 года по сентябрь месяц сократился на 80%.
