В своем материале Клейтон призвал правительство США к использованию преимуществ технологии блокчейн. Он уверен, что государству следует действовать быстро.

Напомним, что за день до своей отставки Клейтон подписал иск против Ripple. До этого Fox Business обнародовал масштабное расследование дела SEC против Ripple. Журналисты пришли к выводу, что стоящие за подачей иска сотрудники регулятора могли быть аффилированы с Ethereum.
За время работы Клейтона, регулятор добился приказов на выплату штрафов и возмещений средств на сумму более $14 млрд и вернул инвесторам $3,5 млрд.
Именно под его руководством на базе биткоина и Ethereum запущены регулируемые фьючерсы, но так и не одобрены заявки на запуск биржевых фондов на основе первой криптовалюты.
