В течение нескольких дней на различных ресурсах появилось большое количество новостей о том, что Китай якобы отменил запрет на криптовалюты. Поводом для этого стало решения суда в городе Шэньчжэнь.
Напомним, что 9 ноября арбитражный суд города признал биткоин законным активом, который может быть использован в качестве средства оплаты товаров и услуг.
«Китайский суд подтверждает, что биткоин защищен законом. Шэньчжэньский суд международного арбитража вынес решение по делу с использованием криптовалют. Закон Китая не запрещает владеть и передавать биткоин, защищенный законом по причине его имущественного характера и экономической ценности», – говорится в постановлении суда.
Однако стоит заметить, что запрет на криптовалюты в Китае не относился к владению и пересылке биткоина. Незаконной считается торговля криптовалютой каким-либо образом, а также деятельность бирж, предоставляющие такие услуги.
По этому поводу обозреватель Forbes и инвестор Джозеф Янг (Joseph Young) написал в своем твиттер-аккаунте: «Китай НЕ ОТМЕНЯЛ запрет биткоина. Местный суд признал биткоин собственностью. Граждане могут пересылать и получать BTC, но не могут торговать, и биржам по-прежнему не разрешается заниматься торговлей BTC».
