Марк Карпелес выступил против процедуры сертификации класса по иску одного из кредиторов платформы, поскольку проект плана восстановления более выгоден для последнего. О мнении бывшего СEO обанкротившейся криптовалютной биржи Mt. Gox пишет CoinDesk.
Со слов юристов Карпелеса, проект плана гражданской реабилитации предусматривает выплаты в фиате, биткоине и Bitcoin Cash в соответствии с их текущей стоимостью. Согласно этой схемы, истец Грегори Грин получит 6,33 BTC, 6,33 BCH и более 2,4 млн иен, что эквивалентно $347 083. Подсчет размера компенсации провели через калькулятор в блоге помощи кредиторам.
Грин, обвинивший Карпелеса в мошенничестве и халатности, сообщил о примерно $25 000 в криптовалюте и фиате, хранившихся на его счетах в Mt. Gox на момент взлома в 2014 году. Адвокаты экс-главы Mt. Gox отметили, что одна иена, которую Грин получит по плану гражданской реабилитации, в настоящее время стоит более $22 000.
По итогу расследования, проведенного юристами, стало понятно, что коллективный иск не будет «лучшим методом решения» в отличие от плана возмещения средств. За него кредиторы биржи смогут в скором времени проголосовать и взыскать убытки через окружной суд Токио.
