Ростин Бехнам (Rostin Behnam) считает, что Комиссия должна повысить свое влияние на новых финансовых рынках. Такое мнение он высказал во время встречи международных регуляторов.

Во время выступления на регулярной Ежегодной японской конференции 2018 International Swaps and Derivatives Association представитель CFTC Ростин Бехнам заявил о необходимости «открыть разум» для регулирования пространства цифровых финансовых технологий. При этом он выделил несколько приложений и направлений использования распределенной бухгалтерской технологии (DLT).
Для обеспечения доступа новаторских технологий к потребителям регуляторные агентства, подобные CFTC, должны сами хорошо разбираться в принципах работы инноваций и, в частности, блокчейн технологий.
«Я осознал, что передовые технологии позволяют творчески воплощать самые смелые помыслы для осуществления инновационных идей.
