Транспортный и логистический гигант AP Moller-Maersk начинает использование блокчейн-платформы Insurwave для морского страхования.
Разработанная EY и Guardtime, Insurwave использует технологию распределенного реестра облачной платформы Microsoft Azure и соответствует глобальным стандартам страхования.
В начале мая Microsoft Azure объявила о выпуске сервиса для создания блокчейн-приложений, Azure Blockchain Workbench.
В течение первого года Maersk будет использовать Insurwave для 1000 суден и для около 500000 цифровых транзакций. Ларс Хеннеберг (Lars Henneberg), глава отдела рисков и страхования Maersk, сообщил, что «морское страхование требует от нас значительных ресурсов».

Блокчейн-платформу Insurwave уже используют в коммерческих целях Willis Towers Watson, XL Catlin и MS Amlin. EY, Guardtime и Microsoft планируют расширение платформы за счет включения в нее морских грузоперевозок, глобальной логистики. В будущем планируется включение авиационной и энергетической отраслей.
