Криптовалютная биржа Huobi сообщила об увольнении 60% работников в своем отделении в Бразилии, сообщает CCN. В настоящее время не объявлена причина проведения массовых сокращений, однако, по заявлениям информированных источников, решение принято по причине сильной конкуренции и сокращения интереса к криптовалютным операциям.
Генеральный директор Huobi Brazil Фрэнк Тао (Frank Tao) подтвердил, что 6 из 10 сотрудников биржи в стране были уволены. Он сообщил, что работники получили предупреждение о завершении контрактов в конце октября.
Один бывший сотрудник, пожелавший остаться неизвестным, заявил, что уволены в основном фрилансеры:
«Я был удивлен увольнением. Вероятно, на это повлияли внешние факторы. В октябре они решили не продолжать свои местные операции. Это был приказ, который пришел из головного офиса».
Huobi вышла на рынок Бразилии в мае 2018 года. Тогда местная пресса сообщала, что биржа собирается «…установить красный китайский флаг на желто-зеленой земле Бразилии».
