2 апреля Humana, MultiPlan, Quest Diagnostics, UnitedHealth Group’s Optum и UnitedHealthcare объявили о намерении начать пробный процесс, цель которого – использовать альтернативу нынешней системе хранения данных.
В настоящее время большое количество медицинских компаний хранят свои собственные архивы и данные, и совмещение разных версий этих документов может быть сложным, дорогостоящим и занимающим много времени. Согласно совместному пресс-релизу, попытки синхронизировать данные стоят медицинской индустрии $2,1 миллиарда в год.
В свою очередь новый проект предлагает систему, которая будет распределять новосозданные данные между многими сторонами с помощью технологии блокчейн.
Компании – участники проекта надеются, что пилотная система хранения данных улучшит доступ пациентов к лечению. А также сэкономит средства медицинских компаний и поможет им получить наиболее актуальные данные.
