Первоначально система позиционировала себя в качестве площадки для обмена невзаимозаменяемыми токенами на блокчейнах Ethereum, BSC и Polygon. Эксперты среагировали на резкое падение цены токена MGAS — почти на 47%.
Согласно подсчетам экспертов, ущерб составил 1100 BNB (~$602 000 на момент написания). Выведенные средства отправлены в миксер Tornado Cash.
На данный момент сайт Metaswap Gas недоступен. Пользователи сообщили, что аккаунты протокола в Twitter, Instagram и Medium удалены.

По словам аналитиков компании PeckShield, объектом схемы rug pull стал еще один протокол — MetaDAO. Ущерб составил 800 ETH (~$3,25 млн).
Как и в случае с Metaswap Gas, активы направлены в Tornado Cash.
