Однако похоже японская Mizuho Financial Group значительно опередила всех и уже с первого марта запустит стейблкоин J-Coin, с помощью которого смогут рассчитываться владельцы 56 млн учетных записей, зарегистрированных в банковской сети Mizuho, объединяющей 60 других финансовых организаций.
Платежная сеть J-Coin Pay от Mizuho будет конкурировать на розничном рынке с такими гигантами, как мессенджер Line и интернет ретейлер Rakuten, внедряющие собственные токены и платежные платформы. Глава Mizuho Тацуфуми Сакаи (Tatsufumi Sakai) заявил изданию Nikkei:
«Выход на рынок всех этих новых участников разрушает мнение о том, что платежные услуги предоставляются исключительно финансовыми учреждениями».
Стоимость J-Coin будет жестко привязана к йене, переводы между кошельками в платежной системе J-Coin Pay производятся без комиссии. Регистрация на J-Coin Pay не потребует дополнительной проверки, как с кредитными картами. Кроме того платформа будет открыта для пользователей в возрасте 18 лет и моложе. По мнению банка, это позволит удовлетворить «потребности самых разных возрастов».
По заявлению Тацуфуми, в планы Mizuho входит охват системой свыше 300 тысяч магазинов и привлечение в систему 6 млн пользователей за несколько первых лет. Таким образом, банк среди первых учреждений традиционного финансового сектора начинает использование криптовалюты для проведения розничных платежей.
Напомним, впервые о планах введения стейблкоина, привязанного к йене было заявлено в декабре 2018 года.
