На Zebpay приходилось около двух третей объёма торговли криптовалютами в Индии. По информации Хурана, общий объём полноправных биткоинов в “лёгких пулах” Индии составляет примерно 40 000 BTC.

На «тёмных» пулах, возможно, находится ещё 20 тысяч ВТС. По словам Хурана, стоимость прочих криптовалют в Индии в полтора раза превышает стоимость биткоинов. В случае запрета все эти цифровые активы окажутся на рынке.
В сеть ранее попал предполагаемый законопроект, который предусматривает суровые наказания для граждан, которых уличат в добыче, выпуске, хранении, обмене и прочих операциях с цифровыми активами.
Хурана считает, что ликвидация криптовалют жителями Индии может занять несколько месяцев. Это позволит сгладить возможный негативный эффект для рынка. По мнению Хурана, рынок способен без снижения поглотить несколько тысяч в день.
