По мнению специалистов, это происходит из-за информационного шума вокруг технологии блокчейн, а также из-за того, что блокчейн всегда ассоциируется с криптовалютами. И зачастую это не позитивные ассоциации. Сейчас многие фирмы занимаются «переупаковкой» существующих сервисов.
«В ближайшей перспективе блокчейн будет применяться в основном для токенизации активов», – полагают в Forrester Research.
Аналитики уверены, что шум вокруг технологии не соответствует спросу на нее. Специалисты считаю, что DLT будет развиваться по принципу «осторожного прогресса», пока не стабилизируется доход поставщиков программного обеспечения от её внедрения.
Хотя еще недавно слово «блокчейн» компании использовали в целях не всегда добросовестного пиара. Так, в декабре 2017 года производитель бутилированного холодного чая и лимонада компания Long Island Iced Tea Corporation сменила название на Long Blockchain Corporation, после чего ее акции за сутки взлетели на 432%, а рыночная капитализация компании выросла до 70 млн. долларов.
