Словацкие банки до сих пор не начали использовать возможности цифровых денег. Блокчейн-стартапы не получают никакой поддержки. В сфере законодательного регулирования царит вакуум. К тому же банки блокируют криптовалютные транзакции. Активисты полагают, что во всём виноваты регуляторы.
Участники Paralelna Polis сравнили криптовлюты с печатным станком. После их появления центробанки больше не могут контролировать денежные потоки. В XV веке католическая церковь утратила монополию на распространение книг. Ранее их переписывали монахи в монастырских скрипториях.
Словакия почти не упоминается в новостях криптоотрасли. А вот в соседних государствах ситуация иная. Так, польская адвокатская компания MSZtax подала жалобу в управление по защите прав потребителей (UOKiK). Она представляет интересы местной биткоин-ассоциации. Польские банки не хотят открывать счета компаниям, работающим с криптовалютами, а уже существующие — закрывают.
