2 августа 2016 года хакер почистил кошельки Bitfinex на сумму 120 тыс. BTC. За 4 года средства неоднократно перемещались. Последние транзакции были зафиксированы 3 августа командой Whale Alert. Только за последние 7 дней мошенники перевели BTC на сумму $51 млн.
На фоне постоянного движения украденных средств, компания решила объявить награду.
«Готовы выплатить награду человеку, который выведет на нас хакеров, укравших в 2016 году около 120 тыс. BTC. Также в Bitfinex готовы предложить награду хакерам за возвращение украденных средств», — написали сотрудники компании.
Если украденные BTC возвратят, компания готова выплатить 30% от стоимости украденных в 2016 году монет – порядка $400 тыс.
Напомним, что взломавшие Twitter хакеры использовали анонимный биткоин-кошелек Wasabi.
