Налоговое агентство Канады (CRA) собирается изучить документы биржи QuadrigaCX. Напомним, что верховный суд провинции Новая Шотландия обязал её начать процедуру банкротства. Судья Майкл Вуд изучил отчёт аудитора Ernst&Young (E&Y), после чего сделал вывод, что реструктуризация и дальнейшее восстановление бизнеса представляются маловероятными.
CRA запросило доступ к отчётности QuadrigaCX в период с 1 октября 2015 года по 30 сентября 2018 года (именно в этот день у клиентов криптобиржи возникли сложности с выводом средств).

Аудитор собирается получить разрешение суда, которое необходимо для обнародования данной информации.
Представители компании отметили, что вынуждены выполнить требования налогового ведомства. Изучение документации криптобиржи займет много времени и тем самым отсрочит выплаты компенсаций.
В феврале этого года стало известно, что криптобиржа утратила доступ к кошелькам пользователей. На них находилось $137 млн. Тогда же власти Индии подтвердили, что основатель QuadrigaCX Джеральд Коттен скончался в декабре прошлого года. Он был единственным держателем паролей к холодным кошелькам биржи.
