Основным направлением обсуждения, по информации из анонимного источника, были переговоры о повышении имиджа цифровой валюты и разъяснения ее роли в мировой финансовой системе. Были подняты вопросы будущего регулирования криптовалюты и необходимых мер защиты для отрасли.
Генеральный директор Nasdaq Адена Фридман (Adena Friedman) заявила о необходимости регулирования, а ее фирма уже сотрудничает с рядом криптовалютных бирж. В частности, Nasdaq объявила о предоставлении собственных технологий для пяти криптовалютных бирж, включая Gemini.
«Я верю, что в будущем [криптовалюта] станет более полезной», — ранее заявляла Фридман.
