На 27 января запланировано новое распределение цифрового юаня среди жителей китайского города Чэнду в провинции Сычуань. Среди желающих будет распределено 30 млн цифровых юаней (~$4,6 млн). Такую информацию сообщает The Block, ссылаясь на местные СМИ.
Дополнительно к этому, 20 млн юаней ($3,1 млн) получит онлайн-ритейлер JD.com. В 2020 году компания уже участвовала в эксперименте — за сутки после старта, клиенты провели на сайте почти 20 000 покупок в национальной цифровой валюте (DCEP).

Среди условий для участников лотереи «красных конвертов» в Чэнду – потратить деньги с 4 по 26 февраля 2021 года.
До этого массовое тестирование цифрового юаня проводили в городе Шэньчжэнь. Во время теста DCEP, местные жители провели почти 140 000 транзакций на общую сумму 18,22 млн юаней (~$2,8 млн).
В начале 2021 года объявили о третьей фазе испытаний. В этом же месяце Пекин и Шанхай объявили о планах поддержать тестирование DCEP.
