Вторая версия протокола использует PLONK – это неинтерактивный аргумент знания с нулевым разглашением, позволяющий «выражать более сложные схемы в меньшем количестве выходов».

Этот протокол позволит проверяющей стороне оценить достоверность, не имея никакой другой информации от второй проверяющей стороны. Именно так участники сети смогут скрывать детали транзакций.
После имплементации Halo 2, транзакции будут проходить значительно быстрее, при этом сжимая объем вычислений.
ECC пишет, что Halo 2 разрабатывали совместно с Etheteum Fundarion. Это вполне может быть, поскольку эта технология рассматривается как вариант для возможного масштабирования Ethereum.
Также была представлена новая версия клиента нод Zcash. Версия 4.0.0 подготавливает сеть к обновлению Canopy, запланированному на 18 ноября.
