После успешного прохождения отбора, кандидату предстоит руководить разработкой инициатив и мер по соблюдению требований, касающихся криптовалют и участников индустрии, взаимодействовать с другими регуляторами, а также поддерживать связь с заинтересованными сторонами.
Напомним, с 2015 года ТНВ специализируется на регулировании криптоиндустрии в Нью-Йорке. А в 2019 году в Управлении появилась новая структура для надзора за отраслью и выдачи BitLicense — лицензий, дающих право компаниям покупать, продавать и выпускать криптовалюты в штате.
До этого суперинтендант NYDFS Линда Ласуэлл сообщила, что покинет свой пост 24 августа 2021 года в связи со вступлением в должность нового губернатора штата Нью-Йорк.
