Один из крупнейших операторов платежей Western Union (WU) заключил соглашение о партнерстве компанией Thunes, что позволит его клиентам переводить средства непосредственно на мобильные кошельки по всему миру.
Thunes, недавно сменившая название и ранее известная как TransferTo, – сеть трансграничных платежей, сосредоточенная на новых рынках. TransferTo ранее сотрудничала с блокчейн-проектом Stellar, проверяя возможность интеграции блокчейн-расчетов в свои сервисы.
Как говорится в пресс-релизе Western Union, партнерство с Thunes сфокусируется на использовании цифровой сети WU или его инфраструктуры для прямых переводов средств на мобильные кошельки клиентов.
В Western Union подчеркнули, что такая расширенная функциональность направлена на глобальное внедрение финансовых услуг с помощью упрощения доступа к ним тем, кто не охвачен банковской системой, и тем, кто не может воспользоваться услугами поставщиков традиционных финансовых сервисов.
Western Union ждет признания криптовалют
Напомним, что не так давно WU продемонстрировала открытость по отношению к криптовалютам – президент WU Global Money Transfer заявил, что если криптовалюты станут общепризнанным средством обмена между частными лицами и компаниями, оператор платежей «будут готов запустить» их поддержку.
Как мы уже писали, платформа tZERO, финансируемая Medici Ventures, венчурным фондом Overstock, предназначена для торговли Security Token Offering, токенизированными ценными бумагами.
