Канадская финансовая компания BMO Capital Markets работает с пенсионным фондом преподавателей провинции Онтарио в новом блокчейн проекте, сообщает CoinDesk. В настоящее время осуществляется тестирование транзакций с фиксированным доходом на блокчейн платформе.
«В сделке принимают участие Банк Монреаля в качестве эмитента и фонд «Преподаватели Онтарио» в качестве покупателя годовой депозитной записки с плавающей процентной ставкой CDN 250 миллионов долларов США. Это первая транзакция с фиксированным доходом в канадском долларе, демонстрирующая жизнеспособность блокчейн платформы», — говорится в совместном заявлении участников.
Прототип позволяет участникам просматривать транзакцию, проверять правильность срока действия и суммы платежа до того, как ценная бумага достигнет срока погашения. Использование методики направлено на снижение издержек, связанных с финансовой отчетностью.
Фонд «Преподаватели Онтарио» является крупным финансовым партнером, обслуживающим около 323 тысяч работающих и вышедших на пенсию учителей провинции Канады. Чистые активы Фонда на 31 декабря 2017 года составляли 189,5 млрд долларов США.
«Преподаватели Онтарио» стремятся исследовать технологии и инновации, которые могут улучшить обслуживание наших членов», — сказала директор фонда Одри Гаспар.
