Две биржи Binance и Huobi приостановили регистрацию новых пользователей из материкового Китая после очередной волны государственных репрессий в сторону криптовалют, информирует Bloomberg.
Для регистрации новых учетных записей в компании запретили использовать китайские номера телефонов. Информагентство сообщает, что резиденты Гонконга на данный момент могут создать кошельки на обеих платформах.
В комментарие Bloomberg представитель Binance сообщил, что компания не ведет операций в Китае и блокирует соответствующие IP-адреса. Но не прокомментировал запрет на использование местных телефонных номеров.
«Binance серьезно относится к своим обязательствам по соблюдению нормативных требований и стремится следовать предписаниям местных регуляторов, где бы мы ни работали», — заявил он.
Опубликованное также подтвердил китайский журналист Колин Ву. По его словам, действия двух крупных игроков демонстрируют, с каким давлением столкнулись криптовалютные компании в стране.

Дополнительно Ву акцентировал внимание на сообщения бота Whale Alert, согласно которым с адресов Huobi перевели более 22 000 BTC (~$928 млн по курсу на момент написания). Он добавил, что если биржа хочет справиться с лавиной запросов на вывод средств, это должны быть переводы с холодных кошельков на горячие.
