Известный трейдер, программист и создатель Predibit Дэвид Гутьеррес представил свою версию объяснения причин внезапной распродажи на криптовалютном рынке. Эксперт указал на три основных фактора:
- Крупные владельцы криптовалюты потеряли терпение. Последние полгода рынок находился в вязком и низковолатильном боковом движении, которое инициировалось автоматическими торговыми системами. Все ожидали обещанных институциональных инвесторов, но они до сих пор не появлялись на рынке. В результате ликвидность рынка была крайне низкой, а любое количество ордеров на продажу смогло вызвать цепную реакцию.
- Нарушения ICO. SEC недавно идентифицировала некоторые проекты в качестве продавцов незарегистрированных ценных бумаг. Первая партия ICO была оштрафована на незначительную сумму в 250 тысяч долларов. Однако все инвестиции в проекты осуществлялись с использованием криптовалюты, а штрафы надо платить в долларах. При этом санкции накладывались на момент совершения инвестиций, когда рынок был на пике. Это вызвало цепную реакцию, когда ICO бросились обналичивать полученную криптовалюту.
- Внутренние распри при проведении хард форка Bitcoin Cash. Отвратительные скандалы между Роджером Вером (Bitcoin ABC) и Крейгом Райтом (Bitcoin SV) привели к тому, что оба были вынуждены арендовать хэш из пулов, добывающих биткоин. Война сетей Bitcoin Cash оплачивается в биткоинах, которые продаются для покрытия расходов на энергию.
Кроме того некоторых инвесторов могла напугать угроза Крейга «стереть» цену биткоина до 1000 долларов.
