Среди других предлагаемых разработчиками улучшений — перенос в оракулы учета передачи данных и подтверждение алгоритма консенсуса Proof-of-Coverage (PoC). Таким образом разработчики планируют снизить требования к блокчейну Helium, повысить скорость, надежность сети и позволяет осуществить переход на Solana.
«Solana — это блокчейн первого уровня, который фокусируется на масштабируемости и скорости. Алгоритм консенсуса Solana Proof-of-History позволяет молниеносно подтверждать транзакции в сети, не ставя под угрозу безопасность», — написала команда.
Что касается предложения отказаться от развития собственного блокчейна команда Helium объяснила, что в последние годы в основном обеспечивала бесперебойную работу в режиме «пожаротушения». За это время появилось множество вариантов сетей первого уровня, которые могут стать базой для проекта.
После предполагаемой миграции в Solana будут осуществляться транзакции токенов HNT и Data Credits, а также управление идентификацией. Использование оракулов позволит сэкономить на комиссиях валидаторов (6,85% эмиссии HNT) в пользу владельцев точек доступа.
Активация предложения по улучшению произойдет после утверждения голосованием сообщества.
