Она возглавляет благотворительный фонд миллиардера, пожертвовавшего деньги на разработку программного обеспечения Mojaloop, ставшего платформой для африканского финтех-стартапа.
Используя Interledger Protocol от Ripple приложение позволяет переводить любую фиатную валюту, конвертировать ее по курсу внутри системы. Работая на блокчейне и внутри мобильных сетей, оно призвано предоставить доступ к финтех-технологиям и банковскому обслуживанию беднейшим слоям населения.
Как и платформы Ripple, Mowali не требует высокой мощности процессора смартфона, обладает низкими комиссионными сборами и высокой скоростью транзакций. В платежах не используется криптовалюта, но такая функция предусмотрена и будет включена в дальнейшем для стран, где законодательно разрешен оборот цифровых валют.
